Rutus are just finalising everything but as it stands here are the changes...
1) Ground Balance
This has been changed to provide visual and audible messaging to alert the user that they may be trying to GB over metal. It provides a graded response that will tell the user how likely the GB is to be accurate... thus allowing for optimal machine performance.
2) 4 User Programs
There are 4 slots in the program menu that allow you to customise and store your own programs without having to change the 7 factory presets. The 4 user programs are set in Basic mode initially until you change them.
3) ID Scale
The Rutus has a 120 point ID scale, set from 0-120. In the new software you can switch this to a 180 point ID scale that goes from -90 to +90. This has been provided for users of older Rutus/other detector models and is entirely optional.
4) Global Settings
In the previous software certain elements were selectable at a program level that maybe should have been global settings. These have been rationalised now so that the Global settings are Backlight, Wireless, Discrimination, Sesnsitivity, Notch and Volume.
5) Iron Volume
Pulls out signals when in Motion Mode so that you hear identifiable sounds for items rejected by your discrimination setting. Again an optional feature.
6) Languages
A number of alternative languages have been added for the menu screens.
7) ID Gain
This increases the sensitivity of the ID system, so that weak signals that previously would have only given a tone indication - but no target ID, will now also give a target ID too.
Think that's all of them.
