This is a Aircraft Amplidyne Motor Generator made by General Electric. I had bought it from a gentleman who said that it had been sitting on a shelf in a garage for many years. I had tried to find information on the web and think that it may have been for the old WWII airplanes to synchronize the turret mounts and sounded like they are very difficult to find. It does have a regular plug in on it and I plugged it in for a very a very short test and it revs up smoothly to a very high RPM and one of the switches on the top puts it into either high or low speed and not sure what the other switch is for. They had it set up this way and said that they had tested it but never used it because of the high speed and I did not want to run it for more than a few seconds to check it just to see that it did operate. I know absolutely nothing about it other that what I have written here. It is very old and sold as found and as shown and as is and have no idea at all about anything else. It is in the EXACT same condition as when I bought it. I was very tempted to clean it up and brighten up the painted surface so that it would look nicer but I have learned over the years that some of you folks want to buy it the way it was found. It still has some dust on it and a little surface rust on the bottom plate. This is all normal and expected wear for sitting in a garage for many years.

B-17 przednia dolna wieżyczka jest wyposażona w takie generatory

Dla przykładu na ostatnim rysunku widać górną wieżyczkę Bendix 250CE-3 & 4 montowana w B-25 która również posiada generatory ale już o innym symbolu........
